Formerly Fido’s Landing Inc. NFP
Through Fidos K9 Society’s Foster-to-Adopt Program, approved families can bring an eligible pup home before their spay/neuter appointment. While we take care of the medical steps below, you get to help your newest family member settle in, feel safe, and discover what being loved looks like.
Joining this program means you intend to give your puppy a permanent home. This is not a temporary visit or a trial placement. Our team will confirm eligibility and walk you through the process. During the foster-to-adopt period, Fidos Landing is listed as a co-owner of your puppy in our system. This co-owner listing remains until the alteration appointment is complete.
During the foster-to-adopt period, Fidos Landing, now known as Fidos K9 Society, is responsible for:
Rabies vaccination
One DAPP vaccination
Bordetella vaccination
Alteration appointment (spay or neuter)
These appointments must be arranged or approved by our team. Optional services and additional products are your responsibility. Please contact us before arranging other veterinary care; unauthorized expenses may be your responsibility.
Spaying or neutering is a required step for every dog in our program. Check with our team before scheduling at either clinic below. Your puppy’s age, health, and the veterinarian’s guidance determine when they are ready. Follow your clinic’s instructions for preparation, drop-off, pickup, and recovery.

Appointment booked? Send our team the clinic name and date so we can keep your puppy’s records on track. Reach out with questions along the way—we want you and your pup set up for success.
Once the alteration appointment is complete, Fidos Landing is removed as a co-owner in our system. You become your puppy’s sole owner and assume responsibility for all future veterinary care and expenses. Our foster-to-adopt medical coverage ends at that point, but you can still reach out to our team for guidance as your puppy settles into family life.
Let our team know so we can arrange your puppy’s return to the rescue. During the foster-to-adopt period, you may not give away, sell, rehome, or surrender the puppy elsewhere without the rescue’s written authorization.
